What is a All-on-4?
All-on-4 is the term used to refer to a dental implant that promises to replace a full arch of teeth using just four dental implant rods per arch. Dental implants are replacements for missing teeth roots. One can think of them as deep screws in the jawbone. Every time an implant is drilled into the jawbone, it compromises its integrity. Hence, an all-on-4 dental implant, by supporting multiple teeth per implant, inherently keeps the jawbone stronger and healthier. Using such implant methods reduces the need for bone grafting. An all-on-4 is a type of implant overdenture, meaning it is a fixed denture over traditional dentures that can be removed and can slip. Further, the process is less invasive and, hence, is faster and easier on the recovery timeline.
